Everyone’s gotta sign a waiver before they Smash!
This one’s just for show — you won’t be able to fill it out here (nice try, though).
In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in ReckIt! activities — including, but not limited to, the destruction of objects and breakables that may become hazardous to myself and others — I, for myself, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin, agree to the following:
1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
I acknowledge and represent that:
• I fully understand the nature of ReckIt! activities and the risks involved.
• I am physically fit, in good health, and able to participate.
• I understand the activity occurs in enclosed rooms or mobile units and may involve
hazardous conditions (sharp objects, flying debris, broken glass, etc.).
• I will immediately stop participating if I believe anything is unsafe.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
I fully understand and accept that:
• ReckIt! activities involve risk — including serious bodily injury, permanent disability,
paralysis, or death.
• Risks may arise from my actions, others’ actions, conditions of the premises, equipment
failure, or the negligence of ReckIt! and its affiliates.
• Additional unforeseen risks, including emotional distress or economic loss, may occur.
• I assume full responsibility for any losses, costs, or damages I incur while participating.
3. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge ReckIt!, its directors, officers, employees, agents,
volunteers, sponsors, advertisers, and property owners (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any
and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of participation, even if caused
by the negligence of the Releasees.
4. INDEMNIFICATION
If I or anyone on my behalf makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify,
defend, and hold harmless each of them from any litigation expenses, attorney fees, damages,
or costs resulting from that claim.
5. SOCIAL MEDIA RELEASE WAIVER
I give ReckIt! Smash Room permission to take photos and/or video of me during my session for
use in promotional materials and social media platforms (including but not limited to Instagram,
TikTok, Facebook, and the ReckIt! website).
I understand:
• I will not receive compensation for the use of these images or footage.
• Content may be edited and used for marketing purposes.
• My identity may be visible in this content (unless I wear gear that conceals it).
6. IN-STUDIO PLAYBACK CONSENT
I understand my smash session may be recorded as part of the Smash Cam add-on and/or
displayed on the viewing laptop/TV visible to others outside the rage room.
This is for entertainment purposes and gives others a glimpse of what a session looks like.
7. MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission for my photograph, picture, or likeness to appear in any official documents,
promotional materials (including advertising), TV, film, internet content, or coverage of ReckIt!
events.
8. RECKIT! HOUSE RULES
Before you break stuff... read this.
1. Smashers must sign the waiver.
No signature, no smashing. Our Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability & Indemnity
Agreement must be signed by every participant before entering the smash zone. No
exceptions.
2. Gear up or get out.
All provided protective gear must be worn at all times in the smash room — no matter
how tough you think you are.
3. Toss It Like You Mean It (But Only Where You're Allowed)
Throwing smashables is only cool if you follow the rules. At pop-ups, you're clear to throw
at the graffiti-covered Wall of Chaos or straight down to the ground. Anything else—doors,
container walls, or random ricochet rage—is off-limits.
4. Don't Be That Tool
Only one tool at a time, hero. Gear goes on before weapons come out. No throwing
tools—this isn’t dodgeball. If you need to step out, park your tool in the designated spot
or lean it safely against the wall. Floor drops are a no-go.
5. Stay aware.
You’re not in there alone. Keep your head on a swivel and don’t go full rampage mode on
your crew. Make sure there’s space between you and your friends when you're swinging
weapons/smashing things.
6. Fists & feet stay out of it.
This isn’t UFC. No kicking or punching — stick to the tools we give you and save your
knuckles.
7. Listen Up.
The rules—and our instructions—aren’t optional. ReckIt! staff call the shots. If you’re given
a new direction or a reminder mid-smash, you’re expected to listen and adjust. No
arguments. No exceptions.
Rules handled. Now wreck responsibly and raise hell.
9. REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY
By booking, you acknowledge that this event runs rain or shine — weather won’t stop the
smash.
All payments are non-refundable.
If you need to cancel your pop-up booking, no problem — we’ve got you covered with a credit
that can be used toward:
• ReckIt! Merchandise
• A future smash session (if rebooking spots are available during the current pop-up). If
there’s no availability to rebook during the 2025 Summer pop-ups, your credit will be
honoured when our storefront opens.
In the very unlikely event that we cancel the pop-up on our end, you’ll receive a full refund.
We reserve the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
10. FINAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I HAVE READ THIS ENTIRE AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, AND RECOGNIZE THAT I
AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS — INCLUDING MY RIGHT TO SUE. I SIGN THIS
FREELY, VOLUNTARILY, AND WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.
If any portion is held invalid, the rest shall fully remain enforceable allowed by law.
